This is the most complete on-the-job land surveying training I have ever seen. How it Works

  • Step 1: Enrollment - Enroll in a Program based on your role and you'll be ready to learn within minutes.

  • Step 2: Training - Upon enrolling, you'd receive an onboarding email laying out your Course plan, the order you should take the Courses. There are two ways to learn with One MC Training Programs. 1) DIY online at your own pace, or 2) Hybrid (sponsored by your employer where you'd have a lead trainer/mentor). With the hybrid method, you'd alternate days between training online and on-the-job training out in the field with your trainer. One MC's online programs are interactive courses broken down into modules (chapters) and lessons within each chapter. All courses include real-world examples, practical assessments, & resources to support your work/onboarding journey.

  • Step 4: Progress Tracking - As you go through the course, the One MC Training platform will track your progress so you don't have to worry about saving or closing the program before you step away. Along the way, One MC can provide regular progress reports to help track your or your team's progress through the program. The progress reports are available upon request with the "Essentials" and "Advanced" Programs meant to be used by the employer/training lead to help coach their students along the way.

  • Step 5: Certification - Industry-recognized completion certificates for each Course & Program. One MC Training does not provide professionally accredited coursework for becoming a licensed professional land surveyor. One MC completion certificates are industry recognized for actual on-the-job tasks, duties, & best practices.

  • Who is this program designed for?

    This program is ideal for new hires in the land surveying industry. It's also suitable for current employees looking to refresh or deepen their skills in surveying.

  • Are there any prerequisites to enroll?

    No prior experience is required—just a desire to learn about land surveying and work in the field.

  • Are these certifications accredited?

    These certificates are not state-licensed but are valuable industry credentials that show completion of practical and theoretical training.

    • Enrollment & Payment

  • Can my employer sponsor my training?

    Absolutely. Many companies enroll new hires directly. Group licensing is available.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept major credit cards and ACH payments. Bulk employer invoices can be arranged.

  • Is there a refund policy?

    Yes. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied and have not completed more than 25% of any course.

    To be eligible for a refund pertaining to a One MC Training course or program, both requirements must be met: 1) refund requested within 14-days of purchase; AND 2) you have not completed more than 25% of any course. Once you reach 25% completion of any course, you are no longer eligible for a full refund, even if you ask for a refund within 14 days of payment. You will need to provide proof of purchase or the receipt.

    • Trainer & Coaching Support

  • How do I communicate with instructors?

    Via in-course messaging or by email at [email protected].

  • Are coaching calls available?

    Yes. Group coaching calls occur monthly. One-on-one support may be scheduled as needed.

  • How long does the training take to complete?

    • Without On-the-Job Training: Courses can typically be completed in 1–3 days/ea depending on the package. The Basic Program can be completed in 1 - 3 days. Essentials can be completed in 1 - 2 weeks. Advanced can be completed between 2 - 4 weeks.

    • With On-the-Job Training: Full onboarding is designed to be completed in 1 month, with continued development, mentoring, and field notes review from months 2 - 6.
  • Is the program self-paced or instructor-led?

    The online portion is fully self-paced. However, support from instructors is available. If combined with field work, mentoring by a company trainer is highly recommended.

  • Do I need to assign a trainer at my company?

    Not required, but highly recommended. We offer a "Training the Trainers" course to support lead trainers at your company with field mentorship and evaluation. We can help to coach the trainers to increase positive results with new hires. 

  • Do I need equipment?

    No, but access to equipment is highly recommended for any Field Training courses which include hands-on learning. Course assignments are designed to be completed using typical field equipment. Check with your company on getting a basic equipment setup if they haven't provided you with one already. One MC can also rent equipment to you for training purposes if needed, just reach out and we can explore options with you.

  • What types of learning resources are included?A short heading for the start of a new group or the heading for the FAQ

    The program includes videos, readings, diagrams, quizzes, and field assignments to accommodate multiple learning styles.

  • Will I receive hands-on training?

    Yes, if your employer supports the OJT model. Field assignments are included in the course and should be completed with equipment.

  • Is there a fieldwork component?

    Yes. While optional, it is highly encouraged. Our recommended path includes field activities that mirror real job responsibilities.

  • What skills will I have after training?

    Graduates will understand survey terminology, equipment setup, boundary identification, safety protocols, and basic field procedures.

  • Will I be job-ready after completing the course?

    You’ll be ready to assist on jobs immediately. With consistent field practice, most trainees operate independently within 1–6 months.

  • Can I access the course on a mobile device?

    Yes. The platform is mobile-friendly. For optimal experience, we recommend a tablet or computer for detailed diagrams. Most of our students are using their field tablets for training. One MC Training is both web-based and app-based. You can access the web-based version in your browser through our normal website and signing in. For the mobile app version, you can download Thinkific from the app store which is our learning management platform. You can then search for One MC Training within the app to access the academy/programs.
